EAR CURATION DESIGN SESSIONS BREAKDOWN

STEP ONE: Looking at anatomy and placements.

This will entail me marking and drawing on your ear and also on my iPad so that we can have a visual to go by. Checking and making sure that all placements suit and fit your unique anatomy and ensure the natural flow of your ear works with the placements and jewelry.

STEP TWO: Looking and choosing jewelry.

This is the fun part, we get to look through all the options there are for you, pick your favorites, and see what will work best where and how each piece compliments each other and your anatomy.

This step is you just picking out every piece that speaks to you and that you like. We don’t have to be picky at this stage, just choose everything that you like the look of!

STEP THREE: Choosing and finalizing the pieces

This step is the longest one, after getting you to pick out everything that you like we then get to whittle the options down to the most suitable pieces. And remember people, you have two ears, they don’t have to match but if you want them to we can do that too! The possibilities are endless!

After we have chosen everything and we are happy with the final result, we can then decide what pieces we are ordering and starting with. We will then get that all sorted for you!

STEP FOUR: Doing the actual curation

This is the easy part, all you need to do is sit there and I will put in all your pretty new jewelry! And hopefully, I will remember to take a pretty photo of your finished project, I will most likely forget BUT will grab one when you are in for your check-up! (maybe)

Example

*Okay this is going to be an example of a design session and how I would approach this particular design. (which came from my head)

Let’s say you have your first lobes done and a second that was done slightly lower than it should have been placed and then finally a helix.

Turning that slightly off-second lobe piercing into a stacked lobe makes the original placement look intentional and also very cute.

I noticed you have good anatomy for a tragus, rook, and conch, so I added those to the pre-design and then also added a fourth lobe and a higher helix to complement the existing one.

That is six new piercings in total, which is too many to do in one session so we can already break this up into multiple visits. I personally like to at least pierce you once before we tackle multiple in one session so that I can get a feel for how your body reacts and how you heal.

The most frequently used way of going about a project like this is ordering all the pieces for your existing piercings (two lobes and a helix) and then adding one of the new pieces. I would suggest doing the stack first so that we can complement that lower second lobe as soon as possible.

The total for this project is $2,750. This is for a total of nine new pieces of jewelry and the piercing fee of $60 per piercing which includes posts and Neilmed aftercare.

The first session would be $970. This would be for four new pieces of jewelry and a new piercing. Clients will typically break it up that way and then every six weeks when you come in for your check-up, purchase the next round of jewelry, which is up to you!
